In 2025, Voksenåsen will celebrate its 65th anniversary as a national gift and a meeting place for Nordic friendship. An anniversary year filled with events.
It was in 1960 that Voksenåsen officially opened its doors as a gift from the Swedish people to the Norwegian people—a highly symbolic gesture that grew out of wartime solidarity.
65 years later, Voksenåsen remains a vibrant and relevant gathering place. Throughout our anniversary year in 2025, we will celebrate this with a series of special events, exhibitions, and activities that honor our history and look to the future.
