"Educational trips with historical depth"
— SINCE 2019
About the trip

A trip down memory lane to Oslo

Over the course of three days on the remembrance trip to Voksenåsen, participants will learn about the Holocaust in Norway and the mechanisms that made it possible through visits to museums, centers, and memorial sites in Oslo. A central part of the trip is reflecting on how the Holocaust could have happened and how we can stand up against antisemitism and hatred today.

During the journey, we meet, among others, Ellinor Meiran, who was five years old when she was taken from her home in Oslo and deported to Auschwitz. Her story offers a concrete and personal understanding of the human reality of the Holocaust.

The program

Three days of learning

Day 1 — Occupation and War

Occupation, war, and Sweden’s role. Participants explore what happened when Norway was occupied and how Sweden influenced the course of events.

Day 2 — The Holocaust and Individuals

The Holocaust, Individuals, and Responsibility. Through personal stories and visits to memorial sites, participants gain a deeper understanding of the human reality of the Holocaust.

Day 3 — Reflection and Responsibility

Resistance, Terror, and Democracy. The final day focuses on the struggle for resistance, personal responsibility, and what democracy means in practice—both yesterday and today.
